Jesus the King Bingo Knights present C$ 3000 cheque.

Deputy Grand Knight Brother Hikmat of Jesus the King Knights of Columbus Council 15045 presenting the Jesus the King council C$3000 financial support for the Canadian Melkite Youth Group during their Barbeque night at 8:00 pm in the Cathedral of The Transfiguration. The Bingo Knights are sponsoring the cost of the Coach bus and will try to raise $2000 more that is required. The bus will transport the church approx. 40 youth to the 6th Annual Canadian Melkite Youth Convention to Montreal and back which will take place on September 1st,2nd,3rd & 4th in Our Lady of the Annunciation, West Island. The theme of the year is “ GET UP PICK UP YOUR MAT AND WALK “ John 5:8. The purpose of the convention is to gather the Melkite youth from all over Canada around Christ, to form true Christian leaders and missionary apostles filled with zeal and courage to spread the word of God. The aim is also to create rich bonds of friendship, cooperation and partnership between young people from different parishes, leaders and priests. The organizing team has designed a very special program which touches on spiritual, social and cultural aspects. Lectures, prayers, discussion circles, tourism and dancing parties are all part of the program!
