The Ontario State Council recently approved to allow each State Board Officer to donate $1,000 donation on behalf of the Ontario Knights of Columbus from the proceeds of the State Council’s online 50/50 raffle to a charity in their local community.

State Treasurer Joseph Bodnar recently presented a $1,000 cheque to Marian Brady of the St. Vincent de Paul Society – St. Joseph the Worker Conference in Oshawa. The donation will help provide grocery gift cards to families facing financial hardship.

With more than 160 families currently seeking assistance through the conference, this contribution will help ease some of the burden of rising food costs.

We encourage all councils to support their local St. Vincent de Paul Society, food banks, soup kitchens, shelters, and community outreach programs. Together, we can make a difference for those who need it most.
