St. Benedicts Council # 11164

The Knights of Columbus have donated $1500 to the St. Vincent de Paul food bank. The donation comes from proceeds of the Ontario State Knights of Columbus 50-50 Spring raffle for April, May, and June. The featured charity of the spring raffle was Food for Families and Food Banks. Susan Platt of the St. Vincent de Paul Society said; “the donation could not have come at a better time. There is a great demand from needy families for food currently and the shelves at the food bank are depleting.”

The Knights of Columbus of the Sarnia and Brights area would like to thank all those who have supported the purchase of KofC 50-50 raffle tickets. Tickets can be purchased at www.kofcontario5050.com. Under “Organization” direct your support to one of the Sarnia or Bright’s Grove Knights of Columbus councils.

Susan Platt receives a cheque from Ontario State District Deputy Joseph Sawczuk and Léo Mayer, Grand Knight of the St. Benedict KofC Council.
