Coats for Kids distribution.

On Thursday December 3rd 2020, K of C Council 15999 St. Helen of the Cross, presented Community Care West Niagara (CCWN) with 48 New Winter Coats. The coats were donated through the Knights of Columbus (K of C), Coats for Kids Program. CCWN was able to order specific sizes and styles to suit the demographic of children in need of a coat. This partnership fulfills the K of C virtue of charity and provides CCWN with the needed coats which they distribute within the local community. Gathered in front of the CCWN van is from left to right Grand Knight Marcel VanRuyven, CCWN Client Services Coordinator Maya Mercier, CCWN Manager of Community Engagement Lynda O’Donnell, Deputy Grand Knight Ray Francoeur, District Deputy Mario Durand and Brother Knight Robert Carroll.

To date, we have collected $1,100 towards the total cost of $1,340. A big THANK YOU to everyone in this appeal and putting smiles on children’s faces. We are still accepting donations for future purchases.
