Pamela Massaro, Development and Community Engagement Manager at Carpenter Hospice in Burlington, accepts a cheque for $1000 from Grand Knight, Bernie Moorcroft (centre) and Advocat, Paul Catena (right).

Charity Bottle Drive

Submitted by Bernie MoorcroftSt. Paul the ApostleKnights from St. Paul the Apostle Council 17397 promoted a Charity Bottle Drive to support their charitable causes this year. In October, the council raised over $2250 in a two-day event October 16 and 17th. With support from the parish advertising the event from the pulpit, newsletter and website along with some community signage, the council has secured tremendous support from the congregation and local community. The money raised goes to support St. Vincent dePaul Society, Shifra Homes, Halton Women's Place, Carpenter Hospice and Good Shepherd among others.
