Brother Knights invited parishioners after all three masses to donate non-perishable food items to support our local food bank and grocery gift cards in support of St. Vincent de Paul. Thanks to the generosity of the St. Mark community, we raised over 500 lbs. of food and almost $100 in gift cards for St. Vincent de Paul.

Recipients include six local elementary schools, The Rose of Sharon, and St. Vincent de Paul. Submitted by Nicholas QuadriniSt. Mark CouncilSt. Mark Council 10874 was one of the first councils in Ontario to welcome the St. Joseph Pilgrim Icon. The council hosted the icon for one week at St. Mark Parish, culminating in a special evening in honour of St. Joseph. Council members invited parishioners to join them for a special screening of "St. Joseph: Our Spiritual Father", followed by a votive mass in honour of St. Joseph and the Holy Rosary (with reflections from Patris Corde). Leslie Tamas who celebrated his 60th anniversary of ordination in May 2020. The council arraigned for a papal blessing from our Holy Father Pope Francis to honour this special milestone and presented it to Fr. Leslie after the 11am Mass on August 23rd. Submitted by Nicholas QuadriniSt. Mark ParishThe St. Mark Knights of Columbus conducted a food drive to support families in Stouffville during the COVID-19 pandemic. During this crisis, many individuals have been forced to go to food banks due to the financial impact of this pandemic. As a council, we wanted to help leave no neighbour behind and support our community during this difficult time. We raised over 1,600 pounds of food and hundreds of dollars of grocery gift cards to support families in need. Thank you to the entire St. Mark community for their generosity!

At the rededication mass celebration, by His Eminence The Cardinal, Father Michael Hughes mentioned the history of founding the church in 1979. The expansion was also only made possible with many professionals volunteering and gifting their services and the generous donations of parishioners. Submitted by Nicholas QuadriniSt. Mark CouncilThe St. Mark Council 10874 recently held it's Strawberries and Ice Cream Charity Sale. The event took place over the Canada Day weekend at the annual Stouffville Strawberry Festival, an annual event which hosts vendors, charities, and festivities to celebrate Canada Day. The Council, alongside Circle 5486 and members of the St. Mark Parish community prepared the strawberries and sold them to members of the public on June 29th.
