Submitted by Ken Cavanagh, District Deputy for District #36 On August 13, 2025, Sir Knights from Oshawa, Scarborough, and Whitby took part in the Honour Guard led by Faithful Navigator Mike Davies during the annual Memorial Mass held at Resurrection Cemetery in Whitby. The event was well attended, with 13 celebrants and deacons presiding over the liturgy, and an overflow crowd gathered to honor and remember loved ones.

The lawns of the Cathedral of Transfiguration in Markham are transformed with tents, stages, bouncing castles and kitchens to accommodate more than 5000 visitors over three days. Fitzgerald Council 6091 St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, Walpole ON celebrated their 160th Anniversary with their St. Ann’s Fiest on Sunday July 27 with Mass and a Blessing of the Cemetery and a Picnic at the Jarvis Lions Pavilion afterward. Bishop Dr. Gerard Bergie celebrated the Mass with Fathers Vincent D’Souza and Steven Lobo with Deacon Cliff Dawson and Aleksander Krupski on the Alter. All are Brother Knights. Submitted by Don LarocqueHoly RedeemerThanks to the dedicated efforts of outgoing District Deputy for District 13, Dennis Tomini, the City Parks Department agreed to create a beautiful flower bed at Bell Park in Sudbury. This initiative was completed in preparation for the Canada Day outdoor bilingual Mass, held at the Grotto. Many parishioners attended the celebration, and the choir’s heartfelt music greatly enriched the ceremony. We extend our sincere thanks to Dennis Tomini for achieving this wonderful accomplishment—a clear sign that the Knights of Columbus remain active and visible in the Sudbury community.
